Él es el Todo-Glorioso!

¡Oh tú ilustre 'Alí-Akbar!

Este día es el día del Martirio de Su Santidad el Exaltado [el Báb], pueda Mi espíritu ser un sacrificio a Su sangre santificada.

Este Día es el día en el cual este Sol de Verdad se ocultó tras las nubes de misericordia.

¡Este Día es el día en el cual este luminoso Orbe se puso!

Este Día es el día en el cual aquel puro y refinado Ser cayó y rodó hacia la tierra empapada de sangre.

¡Este Día es el día en el cual Su Pecho libre de odio, como un inmaculado espejo, fue acribillado por miles de balas!

¡Este Día es el día en el cual aquella Lámpara Divina se desligó de su forma física!

Este Día es el día en el cual los lamentos del Concurso en lo Alto se levantan.

¡Este Día es el día en el cual los habitantes del Reino, con ojos llorosos y corazones palpitantes, lloran y gimen!

O thou illustrious 'Alí-Akbar!

This day is the day of the Martyrdom of His Holiness the Exalted One [the Bab], may My spirit be a sacrificed unto His sanctified blood.

This Day is the day in which this Sun of Truth concealed itself behind the clouds of mercy.

This Day is the day in which this luminous Orb did set!

This Day is the day in which that pure and refined Being fell upon and rolled onto the blood-soaked earth.

This Day is the day in which His hate-free Breast, like unto a spotless mirror, was riddled by thousands of bullets!

This Day is the day in which that Divine Lamp became severed from its physical frame!

This Day is the day in which the lamentations of the Concourse on High are raised.

This Day is the day in which the inhabitants of the Kingdom, with tearful eyes and throbbing hearts, weep and moan!

Querida Hermana Bahá'í:

Su bienvenida carta del 24 de julio llegó recientemente con las instantáneas que usted adjuntó, y el Guardián me ha indicado que le conteste en su nombre.

Él esta encantado con todas las buenas noticias que usted le transmitió, y más feliz de oír que usted cree que los amigos ahora despiertan plenamente al servicio en el campo de la enseñanza para cumplir el Plan de Siete Años.

Él siente fuertemente que usted no debe desalentarse en absoluto por no estar en los comités dónde en el pasado usted ha servido con devoción. Al contrario usted debe considerarlo como una oportunidad de lanzarse más activamente que nunca en el campo de la enseñanza a través de charlas, la escritura, y el contacto personal. Nosotros nunca debemos ni por un momento considerar nuestra elección o no elección a los cuerpos Bahá'ís como el indicativo del buen agrado de Dios o lo contrario, dado que esto puede ser debido a muchas razones diferentes, todas ellas puramente humanas.

Dear Bahá'í Sister:

Your welcome letter of July 24th arrived recently with the snapshots you enclosed, and the Guardian has instructed me to answer you on his behalf.

He was delighted with all the good news you conveyed to him, and most happy to hear that you believe the friends are now fully roused to service in the teaching field in order to accomplish the Seven Year Plan.

He very strongly feels that you must not be at all discouraged by not being put on committees where in the past you have served with such devotion. On the contrary you should regard it as an opportunity to launch out more actively than ever in the teaching field through speaking, writing, and personal contact. We should never for a moment consider our election or non-election to Bahá'í bodies as indicative of the good pleasure or otherwise of God, as it may be due to any number of different reasons, all of them purely human.

He was happy to see that the friends are associating with love and complete lack of prejudice with their fellow-Bahá'ís of negro and Japanese origin. The believers cannot be too careful, at a time when the whole world is consumed with hatred, to keep their hearts untainted and their passions uninvolved.

He wants you to know that he will certainly pray for the way to open for you and your husband to render the Cause many wonderful services in these last years of the Plan. His loving thoughts are with you, and he is always pleased to hear from you.
